From noting down the time that soap opera trailer are on television individually, we joined together as a group to discuss our findings. We found that trailers for soaps like Hollyoaks were shown inbetween comedy shows which would appeal to their target audience, this is because as their target audience is watching that show they would see their trailer through the adverts hopefully making them want to watch that soap. We also found that trailers for soaps like Coronation Street and EastEnders were played in between soaps that have similar target audiences and before or after an episode of their soap, making them more likely to watch the next episode, through that trailer. As a result of this, when thinking about when we would show our trailer we would take into consideration our target audience.
